We met at MoonBeans Coffee. Her beauty caught his eye and his charm immediately won her over. We go back now and then. This picture was taken 2 years after that beautiful day.

Over the next few months, we started getting to know each other and spent many evenings jogging, walking, and talking at Bill Schupp Park. On May 4th, Rafa showed up with flowers and formally asked Celina to go steady.

Rafa meets several of Celina's close friends and her brother Willy for the first time during a dinner party to celebrate her birthday at one of our favorites, Mikhuna. Great food and great company!

We went on our first camping trip to Inks Lake State Park, and we spent the hottest parts of the day visiting Fredericksburg, Blanco, and Marble Falls.

We spent our first New Year's Eve together in McAllen, New Year's 2022!

We take our first trip to Mexico together. Celina gives Rafa a tour of her hometown, Montemorelos and we also visited Santiago, Saltillo, and Monterrey. Celina meets Rafa's extended family.

A wonderful time in Saltillo for Federico and Catalina’s house warming party. Celina gets to meet Rafa’s Tios Fede and Catalina, Cousins Nacho and Catita, Monica, Nachito and his wife Fany, and their children Ignacio and Estefanía.

We travel to Playa del Carmen and enjoy a break from the routine. Great weather and a lot of fun!

Rafa takes Celina to San Antonio for Easter to meet his sisters, Rebeca, Jennifer, Joy Anne and their families. Rebeca and David hosted a great time with lots of laughter, good food, and ice cream.

We take Roxy for a short hike at Pedernales Falls State Park. Roxy loved being outside, feeling the sun and sniffing the world.

Another great weekend in San Antonio having fun being tourists. We discover that before we met each other, we lived in the same part of town, shopped at the same HEB, got water from the same watermill, and jogged at the same park. If only we had met sooner!

Celina visits Rafa in North Texas and we spend the weekend in Dallas. We enjoy our visit to The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden the most!

Rafa surprises Celina by taking her to the Chocolate Seminar at Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. We have fun sitting on stage enjoying some delicious chocolates!

Celina invites Rafa to spend Thanksgiving in Houston at Adrian and Kasia’s house. We had a lot of fun and Rafa was happy to meet Celina’s brother Adrian and his wife for the first time.

It's our second New Year's Eve and we spent it attending 2 beautiful weddings of our friends.

After patiently waiting, and several visits to the shelter, Celina decides to foster Maya. She quickly falls in love with her funny personality, kind nature and adopts her.

We take Maya to the beach for the first time. It was a gorgeous day at South Padre Island but Maya still was not convinced that getting near the waves was a good idea.

After warming up the days prior completing progressively challenging trails and climbing Deer Mountain, We conquered Mount Ida on a trip to Colorado.

Celina's parents come visit Sherman. We take a tour of Lake Texoma, visit Winstar Casino where Celina's mom wins big at the roulette table, and enjoy Amadeus Live in Concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

During a trip to Monterrey, Mexico, Rafa hires a tour guide to summit La Meseta de Chipinque with Celina. When they reach the top, Rafa kneels down and proposed. To much relief, she said YES!
